Forest industry transports

Over 60 percent of the total volume of freight transported by VR Transpoint is either raw materials or products transported for the forest industry.

Domestic transport of wood raw material is based on a transport system developed in cooperation with customers, which has at its disposal loading sites located throughout the rail network.

Transport systems for products of the forest industry are also developed in cooperation with customers. In addition, a wider range of logistics services are often added to railway transport.
