Electronic services
VR Transpoint has for a long time invested in developing its electronic services. At present we can offer our customers an increasing number of electronic services which help make the whole logistical chain more efficient. Electronic services are available in Finnish (with the exception of RailTrace which is also available in English) for our contract customers in Finland.

Data transmission
Electronic data transmission saves work and time. Thanks to data transmission the parties of a transport chain can communicate from one system to another. The EDI system (Electronic Data Interchange) used in data transmission between the customer, the authorities and VR Transpoint speeds up data transmission, reduces the need for paper documents, increases the availability of rolling stock and hastens deliveries of goods. An electronic invoicing system is also used which makes it possible to receive invoices in an electronic form.
Individual service concepts
We develop our electronic services in cooperation with our customers. Service needs are determined by mapping our common processes and identifying the points where electronic business services can offer significant benefits. The service is then planned, implemented and tested in cooperation with our customers. In addition to basic services we are able to realize customer-specific service concepts based on individual needs.
