VR Transpoint divests in Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia


VR Transpoint sells its shareholdings in the Polish, Czech and Slovakian companies of Transpoint International Group. The shares are sold as a Management Buyout transaction to the local management.

– This arrangement has no impact on the operation or our service offering on these trade lanes. Good and efficient operations will continue in transportations between Finland and Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia thru a long term partnership agreement, says Rolf Jansson, SVP Logistics at VR Group.

– We believe that this arrangement of ownership strengthens our abilities to invest both in the quality of our service and in long term business development.

Transpoint International Group manages the international transportations of VR Transpoint. It offers groupage, part load and full truck load transportation services between Finland and Russia, the Baltic countries and Central Eastern European countries.
