Customer bulletin on paperless empty wagon transports

Dear customer,

We are adopting a paperless procedure for private empty wagon transports from Finland to Russia on 10 December 2011. The paperless procedure does not apply to third country transports (SMGS transports) in which case an SMGS consignment note is drawn up for empty wagon transports at the border station on the Russian side.

We have until now delivered consignment notes received from you or consignment notes printed at the border station to Russian Railways. In transports to and from Russia paper consignment notes will NOT be delivered to the Russian Railways from 10 December 2011. If you want to receive a copy of the consignment note it can be printed from Asiakirjat document service where all documents are saved. You can print the consignment note yourself if you so desire. If you do not have access rights to Asiakirjat document service you will receive them upon request. Information exchange concerning the transports will not change. As the customer you will deliver information on private wagons returned empty to VR Transpoint as at present or VR Transpoint will act according to information you have provided.
