Border traffic is still congested at Vainikkala–Buslovskaja border crossing stations.

According to information received from RZD, the rail yard tracks are full and therefore all scheduled freight trains cannot be received there. Deficiencies in snow-clearing at Vainikkala has also restricted cross-border rail traffic.

The situation leads to longer wagon turnaround times in all of Finland.

VR regrets any inconvenience caused to our customers' operations as a consequence of the force majeure situation.
