In addition to transports FTL Logistics also provides warehousing services for forest and construction industry products.

Warehousing services are part of the management of our customers' delivery chain and have a close link to transports. The service is mostly fast-cycle terminal type operations which includes industry deliveries in large consignments close to the markets and destination-specific deliveries from the storage terminal.

Warehousing includes, in addition to the use of the storage space, other matters related to logistics such as picking, repacking, warehouse inventory control, delivery communications and scheduled delivery.

Combining construction industry warehousing and delivery plan management to a destination determined by production in accordance with a timetable commitment is part of our services. Centralized storage of construction materials and deliveries in Helsinki metropolitan area are handled by the Hakintie storage terminal in Vantaa.

Cargo East Terminal in Kouvola is mainly used for the storage of products to the markets of the CIS countries and the Far East. The operations are conducted together with VR Transpoint Rail Logistics allowing for seamless cooperation between rail and road transports. Deliveries from the terminal are mainly conducted by direct rail connections to cross-border destinations with forwarding and rental wagon services being part of the overall service.

Warehousing services are added value services with which cost and timetable benefits are sought in delivery chain management. Transports from different factories and production facilities are combined into a single delivery.
